This past weekend I took a trip to Batey’s Farm. They planted a ton of sunflowers this year!!! I have another spot that I usually frequent, but this new one was so convenient and absolutely breathtaking! They were so generous opening this up to the public for free and only requesting a donation to fund a charity. I hope this will become an annual tradition for them.

The Parthenon: In Nashville!
I think many visitors are surprised to see such an awesome piece of architecture in Nashville. It was built as a temporary piece in 1897 for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. Eventually most of the facade was replaced with material that would stand the test of time (and the extremely hot humid summers in TN.) Inside is an beautiful replica of Athena. A definite must to see in Nashville!
I’m catching up on the August in B&W project and posting a few of the photos from the past couple of days. Some I take in b&w and some I convert later. The conversion seems to be harder for me as I’m comparing it to the color version. This has been a great project in seeing things in b&w!
